Our ways of working and commitment to continuous improvement are independently assured through recognised standards, including ISO 9001, giving you confidence that you will be supported by clear processes, strong governance and a culture that values doing things properly.
In return, you will have the opportunity to do meaningful, high-impact work in an environment that prizes evidence, commercial judgement and clear thinking, while working alongside experienced professionals who care about outcomes, not box-ticking.
Position to Win Strategist
Position to Win is the system that governs how bids are shaped, challenged and ultimately committed to. The PTW Strategist orchestrates that system. Customers with Enable in their team usually win. This role is pivotal in making that always.
The PTW Strategist owns the competitive logic of winning:
- You define the trade space.
- You set the constraints.
- You force the decisions others avoid.
This role sits at the intersection of economics, mathematics, strategy, and human behaviour and carries real authority in live-capture campaigns.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Own and orchestrate Position to Win across complex, high-value competitions.
- Own PTW governance across the full capture and bid lifecycle, ensuring PTW targets are refreshed, revalidated, and re-communicated at each material change (evaluation updates, clarifications, solution shifts, pricing iterations).
- Lead CI synthesis collaboratively with bid and capture teams, while retaining independent accountability for PTW targets and recommendations.
- Ensure all competitive intelligence activities comply with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards.
- Research, disseminate, stress test competitive intelligence and turn into competitive analysis, a critical PTW input.
- Coach senior stakeholders and bid teams on Value for Money mechanisms, price–quality trade-offs, and evidence-based decision-making.
- Define price and non-price guardrails that shape solution, price and bid strategy.
- Apply game theory, economic reasoning, and decision science to predict competitor behaviour and buyer outcomes.
- Design, run and govern PTW models’ assumptions, variants, sensitivities and confidence ranges.
- Translate PTW outputs into clear, non-negotiable strategic implications.
- Orchestrate decision points: Act as the independent authority on PTW recommendations for bid/no-bid, re-shape, or withdrawal decisions, providing evidence-based conclusions irrespective of sunk cost or stakeholder pressure.
- Communicate PTW conclusions directly with government prime C-suite and senior bid leadership, with credibility and calm authority.
- Deliver effect at a fixed price. We’re not your average day-rate consultants.
- Build and evolve algorithms, heuristics and tooling that improve PTW accuracy and repeatability.
- Actively challenge weak strategies, optimistic bias and late-stage rationalisation.
- Contribute to the development of Enable’s proprietary PTW platform.
