Join a team that loves to win
Most people picture consultancy as a world of frameworks and jargon. At Enable, we see it as a game of creativity, curiosity and momentum. We’re a small, remote‑first team that helps government and regulated‑industry suppliers win complex, high‑value contracts. What makes us different is how personal it feels: our advisors celebrate a client’s victories as though they are our own, pushing beyond the brief to find new ways to help them grow. A customer told us recently that the “refreshing” part of working with Enable is how excited we are about their wins – right from the first conversation, we’re thinking about the bid as if it were ours to land. That enthusiasm is contagious.
Why the work matters
Enable was born from a simple ambition: to become the most trusted partner for growth in complex, regulated environments. We’re not just a “bid shop”; we combine bold strategy, behavioural insight and emerging technology to help clients secure profitable contracts and deliver them well. Our values reflect that blend of ambition and humanity. We think boldly and challenge the status quo, stay curious and hungry to learn, focus on what drives real client impact, own and improve our work, and, most importantly, win well – working hard, having fun and helping clients win with confidence.
The result is a culture of restless improvement. We don’t cling to rigid processes. Colleagues are encouraged to invent, test, scale and refine. That could mean automating a repetitive task, prototyping a new analytics tool or trialling a different workshop format. We create space and budget for experiments because we know that improving our service through automation, virtualisation, and elimination benefits everyone. Fail fast and learn faster – so long as it doesn’t endanger the promises we’ve made to a client.
How we work
Enable is entirely remote. There’s no headquarters to report to and no clock to watch. We have access to a nationwide network of offices for those who prefer a physical desk, and we come together in person when a project or security requirement demands it. Otherwise, you decide when and where you work. The only expectation is that your choices never compromise the quality of service to customers or colleagues. If you’re driven by autonomy and can deliver outstanding results without someone looking over your shoulder, you’ll thrive here.
The flip side of that freedom is responsibility. You’ll be trusted to organise your time, manage competing demands and communicate clearly across time zones. We operate in a fast‑moving environment with clients across defence, healthcare, logistics and other regulated sectors so that priorities can shift quickly. You need to be comfortable with ambiguity and able to turn a high‑level objective into a plan of action.
Perks that reflect our values
We try to make our benefits match the way we work:
- Competitive salary and sales incentives. We pay market‑leading salaries for market-leading people and share the upside when you help us grow. New business you bring in is rewarded through a commission scheme reviewed annually.
- Trust‑based leave. We expect everyone to take at least the statutory minimum of 28 days’ paid holiday, but we actively encourage more. There’s no formal cap on leave – take the time you need, so long as your clients and team are well supported. Everyone also gets their birthday off. Life is too short to work on your birthday.
- Work where and when you want. There’s no expectation to be at a particular desk or online at set hours. We measure output, not activity. When a project requires a specific location for security reasons, we’ll let you know in advance.
- Grow with us. Our commitment to R&D means you’ll have dedicated time and budget to explore new ideas, attend training or pursue certifications. Whether it’s learning a new strategic framework, experimenting with AI tools or developing your facilitation skills, we support continuous learning.
- Birthday and well-being benefits. In addition to your birthday off, we offer flexibility for appointments, family commitments and mental health days. Life isn’t 9‑5, and neither are we.
Who thrives at Enable?
Our projects sit at the intersection of strategy, psychology and government procurement. We’re looking for people who are passionate about helping organisations win and grow – the types who read a tender notice and immediately start thinking about the competitive landscape, stakeholders and value proposition. If you identify with the following, you’ll fit right in:
- Strategic thinkers with entrepreneurial instincts. You can quickly understand a client’s market, anticipate how competitors will position themselves and craft differentiated capture strategies. You’re comfortable taking ownership and testing new approaches rather than following a manual.
- Great facilitators and communicators. You’re as happy running a workshop with senior executives as you are coaching a bid team behind the scenes. You know when to challenge assumptions and when to listen. Empathy and clarity matter to you more than buzzwords.
- Winners who like working with winners. You get genuine satisfaction from helping clients win profitable bids, and you’re drawn to clients who share that ambition. You see yourself as part of their team, celebrating their successes and learning from setbacks together.
- Experts in business‑to‑government growth. Experience in defence, security, logistics or other regulated sectors is valuable. Many of our colleagues have backgrounds in bid leadership, competitive intelligence, behavioural analysis, programme management and price‑to‑win. Familiarity with public procurement processes (ITN, ITT, QDC) or certifications like APMP, MSP or APM helps, but a growth mindset and willingness to learn are more important.
Roles we hire for
We’re always on the lookout for talented people who can help our clients win. Typical roles include:
- Capture Strategist. Lead the pursuit from opportunity identification through to contract signature. Bring together insight on competitors, stakeholders and win themes to craft a compelling capture plan.
- Competitive Strategist. Provide deep analysis of the competitive landscape, customer buying behaviours and policy environment to shape bids and marketing.
- Price‑to‑Win Strategist. Build pricing models and scenario analyses to ensure proposals are commercially competitive while meeting our profitability targets.
- Behavioural Analyst. Apply behavioural science and psychology to understand how decision‑makers think and tailor messaging, presentation and negotiation strategies accordingly.
The Enable Effect
Our customers expect us to have a rich understanding of the art of winning business and building competitiveness for them, so you’ll need to either have relevant expertise or qualifications that you can leverage for this purpose. And we look for growth mindset. That means being naturally curious, asking better questions, and staying hungry to learn. We value people who think boldly, those willing to challenge the status quo with well-reasoned ideas, and who focus on what drives real client impact.
You should be comfortable taking ownership, holding yourself to high standards, and improving your approach based on feedback. Collaboration is key here, so we look for individuals who build trust, embrace constructive conflict, and commit to team decisions. We expect our people to be accountable for their work and to hold others to account too, but always in a way that is collaborative, respectful, and supportive, ensuring the whole team grows stronger together. Above all, we want people who “win well”: you bring energy, resilience, and professionalism, but you also know how to enjoy the work and celebrate shared success.
Ready to explore?
As a growing consultancy, our needs evolve. When we have roles open we advertise them on LinkedIn, in the news section of our website and on this careers page. Even if you don’t see a vacancy that matches your exact profile, we’d still love to hear from you – many of our best hires started with a speculative conversation.
If the idea of working in a remote, high‑trust environment where you can experiment, learn and help ambitious clients win excites you, we should talk. Keep an eye on our LinkedIn page and news feed for open roles, or send us a message introducing yourself. At Enable, you won’t just be filling a seat – you’ll be shaping how organisations compete and grow, and you’ll have the space to do the best work of your career.
